We have a strong investment team based in three offices – Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong. Our team is led by four partners who have extensive experience in China investments and capital markets, and have worked together for many years. Almost all our team members have worked at leading multinational companies. Many have also worked previously in local Chinese companies with operational experience.

2005-2008
The founders of FountainVest were members of the team responsible for establishing and managing the local China investment program for an Asian investment company with over US$100 billion of portfolio assets under management. During this period the team built a strong track record investing billions of US dollars, and had helped over a dozen Chinese companies achieve strong growth through funding as well as strategic value creation.

Mid 1990s to 2005
Each of the founders held a combination of positions with leading global financial institutions, focusing largely on China. Over the last decade they had led many of China's most notable privatizations, mergers and acquisitions, commencing in the mid-1990s when Chinese companies first began to access the international capital markets on a large scale. As a result, the founders take a professional approach to private equity investing based on fundamental analysis and strict adherence to international standard of investing best practices that promotes intellectual integrity and collective decision making.
